Hey All,
Just wanted to update all of you and let you know we celebrated 3 months seizure-free on Christmas Eve. It has been an amazing 3 months as we have watched Gabrielle begin to blossom. She continues to amaze us every day with her mobility and her ability to get into mischief. I don’t recall rejoicing over any of our other children grabbing ornaments off the Christmas tree but this year I was thrilled to see Gabrielle yånking them off!!
We are so thankful for the way God has worked in our lives this past year. He has taken away our pain and turned our mourning into dancing.

Your story is amazing. I was on my.epilepsy.com doing a little bit of research as we have a daughter who is going into the hospital again for video EEG to re-assess surgery. Our daughter, Ashley was born on October 17, 2006 and started having seizures when she was 6 weeks old. She also has dyplasia involving the right frontal lobe. There are a lot of similarities between Gabrielle and Ashley and I was so happy to find your story. It gave me hope. I would like to be in contact with you (if you don’t mind) as I think you may be a good resource person for me to help me get through these rough times leading up to potential surgery. Hi Carla,
I am so glad you found our story and that it gave you hope. When Gabrielle was so sick I searched the internet all the time for stories of hope. If there is any way I can help you it would be a joy to me. Just knowing our experience could in some way help another family reminds me that everything in this world has a purpose. Gabrielle was born Oct. 13th. Our two little angels are very close in age.
