Happy Second Birthday!!

Eating Cake

Gabrielle turns two years old tomorrow. She has had a year filled with many ups and downs and much uncertainty.
We really did not know what her 2 year birthday might look like 6 months ago.
Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday!

Today we watched Gabby’s eyes light up when she saw her cake and she listened attentively as we sang “Happy Birthday”.
We then witnessed pure bliss as she daintily fed herself one bite of cake at a time until the entire slice was consumed.

I love my Trike!

I love my Trike!

She ended the evening with a lot of good walking fueled by the sugar coursing through her veins.
We have so much to be thankful for on this second birthday.

Wohoo! We are so amazed at Gabby’s progress and are so incredibly thankful that God has allowed us all to see His hand through the downs and the ups. You guys are a model to us for what true faith and trust in God is all about.
    Happy Birthday Gabby!!!

  2. I can’t wait to see you guys on Thanksgiving and squeeze little Gabby in my arms! And we all will give thanks together

  4. Hi, I came accross your video on youtube. I see that your daughter had a hemispherectomy at Duke. We live about 45 minutes from Duke.My daughter had a hemispherectomy for infantile spasms and complex partial seizures at 9 months old.She had it done in Detroit with Dr. Chugani. We went to Duke, but they could only give us a 25-50% chance of her being seizure free, I wasn’t happy about that, Michigan gave us 95% chance, so that’s were we went. Your daughter is doing so well. She is so precious!! God Bless

Hi O’Melia’s! So glad to have you back in NC and Happy Birthday to Gabby! A few days late, but we were thinking of you. Jordan just turned five and she was looking at the photos of Gabby and Maddie and noticed that Maddie has the same glasses as Morgan, same hair color, same hair length and their teeth look similar! So….from my five year old…”Maddie looks like Morgan, they must be friends!” Happy Holloween everyone!

    Love Ya!
